Outdoor Lighting

Do you need more outside light? Columbia REA installs and maintains lights for security and area lighting purposes. These lights range in size from 150 to 400 watts. Outdoor lights are usually placed on existing Columbia REA meter or transformer poles. Members pay a monthly charge based on the light size.

When an additional pole is needed for the outdoor light the member is responsible for paying for the new pole. This cost can be paid up front or amortized and paid monthly to the Cooperative. In addition to the pole charge and the monthly light charge the member would also pay an additional maintenance charge for Columbia REA to maintain the pole and light.

The minimum contract term for outdoor light service is five years and Columbia REA owns and maintains all the equipment.
